I went around the school and asked students some questions about TikTok. One of the questions was “What do you like about TikTok?” One student said, “I like it, because you can be creative on TikTok.” Others said they simply enjoyed doing the fun dances that are “trending.” Most enjoyed being able to share these short fun videos with friends. Another one of the questions that I asked was “Do you recommend TikTok to others, and why?” Josefina, a 7th grade student, said “I would [recommend it] because it’s amazing.” Another student said, “Yes, because it helps you connect with people and it’s funny.” Many highly recommend the app to others. The main reason people seem to recommend the app is because it is very easy and enjoyable to use.

When it comes to TikTok usage, most people spend roughly 52 minutes on TikTok per day. Either making videos themselves or watching other people’s videos. As of 2019, TikTok is available in 155 countries.
