TAMPA–Little did we know that our world would be changed forever on June 29, 2007, when the first Apple iPhone was released. Or did we know that there would be 10+ Apple smartphones released between 2007-2020?
As most people know, the newest phone released is the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The most recent feature that Apple has added, is the “slofies“ which is the ability to reverse the camera, like you would do for a selfie, but it has the slo–mo software making it an instant hit. Of course, if Apple adds a feature the price must increase. The most recent price of the iPhone 11 Pro Max is $1099, making it the most expensive phone ever made. The first iPhone invented was starting at $499. Now, we while more importantly discuss how the iPhones have are affecting our world (benefits and disadvantages).
There are many benefits to having the best and most recent iPhone.
Camera: “Slofies” and the quality of the camera itself. And, the tri-camera setup for multiple angles and types. Also, portrait mode has been an addition to the iPhone X and the iPhone 11.
Battery Life: Many people, for as long as we can remember, have asked Apple to up the length of the battery. For iPhone X members, the battery lasts for up to three hours while iPhone 11 Pro members have an average battery length of 4 hours. And the Pro Max has a record battery length of five hours, the longest out of any iPhone before these versions.
New Editions: For the two newest iPhones, Apple has removed the home button and replaced it with a virtual line that you use to swipe up, that acts as the home button. In addition, it is tougher and officially has a waterproof design and Stereo Speakers with world-class quality. Video quality has increased as well.
Reviews: A student at Farnell Middle named Zack Radzicki has nothing but good things to say about his iPhone XR. He said that “It is my first phone ever, and I love it.” Jake Demmi, also a student at Farnell said he “LOVES his phone.”
Overall additions: Night-mode, Low-power mode, ability to charge faster and video capturing are just some of the new additions to the newest and considerably best iPhone around.
Sadly, there are also a lot of disadvantages with the new iPhone.
Camera: The photos come out bland, and the ultra-wide camera lacks autofocus and night mode.
Extra: There is no jack or audio adapter, which is why you are unable to plug in wire headphones, and the notch is still very large.
Social Community: This new phone has caused many people to spend ridiculous amounts of money on something that is not going to change thier lives. People have also become more attracted or in some cases more addicted to their iPhone. This has started becoming a way that has made some people gain weight from the increased amount of screen time and decrease of overall exercise.
I was stuck on my iPhone for about 8 hours weekly because of the experience that I get.
In conclusion, there are many disadvantages and benefits to having the latest and greatest iPhones, but in the end, it really does not define who you are as a person. But it is your decision as to which iPhone you buy–choose wisely.
